In 2009, the QP5 was restyled under the design of Pininfarina: The exterior changes concern the grille and the front and rear optics accommodating the LEDs. The sills are more prominent and the shields and mirrors are new.

It is available in 3 models: the "classic" V8 / 4.2l / 400 ch and the Quattroporte S and GTS with the V8 / 4.7l / 430/440 Ch of the Granturismo S. The "DuoSelect" gearbox is abandoned in favor of the 6-speed ZF.

Inside, ergonomics are reviewed and the navigation system updated, and Maserati offers two new leather shades: Carnelian Brown and Sand.
