The international success of the Spyder 4200 led Maserati to offer a coupe version in 2002. First named 4200GT then Coupe GT.

Maserati retains the line of the 3200GT that we owe to Giugiaro, a few details (hood vents, Maserati badge, ...). the North American rear of the Spyder is preserved.

On the engine and transmission side, the coupé also inherits from the Ferrari 4.2l 90 ° V8 developing 390 HP, the "Cambiocorsa" sequential gearbox inherited from the F360 and takes this beauty to 283 km / h !!
