Spyder 4200 GT
2001
Fiat sold 50% of Maserati to Ferrari in 1997. The Spyder 4200 GT was the first fruit of this collaboration and was born in 2001. The 3200GT still had a design from the Biturbo generation.
Maserati keeps the line we owe to Giugiaro, but on a chassis shortened to 2440 mm and hair blowing in the wind. the rear is retouched to match the North American market but not to the delight of purists of the 3200GT ...
As for the engine and transmission, everything is new: Ferrari 4.2l 90 ° V8 developing 390 HP, "Cambiocorsa" sequential gearbox inherited from the F360 and takes this beauty to 283 km / h !!
