Quattroporte I (MK2)
1966
In full development of the motorway network in Italy, the idea of grafting a luxury limousine on a chassis with a V8 derived from the 450 S led Maserati to create the concept of the Quattroporte in 1963.
The line we owe to Frua highlights the speed and the glazed spaces available to this racing limousine !! Inside everything is luxurious. It is even the first to offer Clim in series!
Even a little deflated, the first version of the 4.2l V8 develops 260 HP and leads this Diva to 230km / h, then 4.7l and 290 HP in 1966 for a maximum speed of 255km / h, propelling it the fastest sedan in the world !!
