5000GT Sciadipersia
1959
In 1959, Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Persia, after trying the 3500GT, requested a more exclusive version from Maserati.
His wish was granted when Giulio Alfieri installed the 450S engine on a reinforced 3500GT chassis.
Even deflated, the powerful V8 produced 325 HP and allowed a top speed of over 260 km / h, which made it the very first Supercar in history!
Bodied by Touring, it incorporates an elliptical grille center, a nod to the racing 250F, winner of the World Championship in 1957.
