Kyalami 4.9
1976
In 1975, when the PSA group was formed with Peugeot, Citroën put Maserati into liquidation.
The Italian state supports Alejandro de Tomaso (Ex Argentinian driver on Maserati, already at the head of the "De Tomaso" cars), who takes the reins of the brand at the Trident.
The Kyalami, the brand's first car produced and a guarantee of good health, is a reinterpretation by Frua of the De Tomaso Longchamps, originally designed by Tom Tjaarda.
The 4.2l and 4.9l V8s of 225 and 280 hp are the souls of these GTs produced only in 200 copies.
